By now there are Best Oscar Dress roundups everywhere, and I was a little surprised to find that my favorite one didn’t make many lists. Maybe it’s because its wearer, Swedish actor Alicia Vakinder (of the nominated A Royal Affair and Anna Karenina) didn’t get much red carpet coverage, or maybe it’s because the Elie Saab Couture number is from last season. Still, I think the minty gown, a perfect romantic balance of sparkles, lace and an unfussy cut, is gorgeous. I love the belt, I love the low back, and I love the subtle train. I also love the springy mints and emeralds that are popping up everywhere this spring, so here’s a quick little mood board–starring another Elie Saab dress–this pretty helped inspire.
